Ratings and Feedback

The CQC rated The Lister Hospital ‘Outstanding’, highlighting the quality of its surgical offering and the hospital’s leadership team, in a report published in June 2017. This was supported by the experiences of patients, with 98% of those treated at The Lister Hospital recommending the hospital to friends and family.

Outcomes From Surgery

When it comes to joint replacement, The Lister Hospital reported fewer volumes of knee replacements and hip replacements to the National Joint Registry (NJR) than would be ideal (between April 2019 and March 2020). The hospital saw slightly below-average outcomes for hip and knee replacement, with patients requiring revision surgery (where the original procedure must be repeated). Note: NJR volume and revision rates last recorded are March 2020 and August 2020 respectively.
